Bloom Montessori Teachers Support Fund
Help the former teacher of Bloom Montessori get the financial resources they need
On November 5, Bloom Montessori Daycare closed its doors due to finances. The 20 teachers who work there did not receive a paycheck for the entire month of October or the first days of November.
Bloom provided care to infants through early grade school children in 7 classrooms.
The daycare was slated to close at the end of December, but Tuesday’s closure came as a surprise. Staff and parents were notified by the owner through an email late Tuesday afternoon around 3:30 PM that the daycare was closed effective immediately. Despite not receiving pay, many teachers stayed to care for children until families could pick them up, and even returned the following day to make sure families could collect their things and say goodbye.
These teachers gave their hearts, talents, and energies every day to help our young children grow. They now face significant financial hardships as they navigate going without a paycheck for a month, finding new jobs, and the fallout of this unexpected transition.
Our teachers have always been there to help our children and our families. Please take this opportunity to help them.
This is a fundraiser for the teachers, and only the teachers.
Please consider donating to cover credit card processing fees so additional funds may be donated.
Donations can also be dropped off at Opportunity Bank locations. Just designate Bloom Montessori Teacher Fund.
